ABB Motion and WindESCo have signed a strategic partnership, where ABB has acquired a minority stake in the company through its venture capital unit, ABB Technology Ventures (ATV).
The investment complements ABB’s wind portfolio with digital offering, allowing it to expand its market reach beyond wind converters and services. The equity investment by ABB and WindESCo’s technical collaboration will allow WindESCo to expand its offering to the wind turbine electrical system. Financial details of the investment were not disclosed.
