José Antonio Miranda has been appointed as Gamesa’s CEO for the entire Latin American region, after 4 years leading Gamesa China.
Miranda, who joined Gamesa in 2007 as Managing Director of the Electric Components Division, was appointed in 2011 CEO of China. Miranda holds a Senior Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Oviedo and a MBA from the Comillas Pontifical University (ICADE). Álvaro Bilbao will take over as CEO of Gamesa China. Bilbao, who joined Gamesa in 2007, holds a Senior Electrical Engineering degree and a MBA from the University of the Basque Country. Prior to this new position, Bilbao headed up Gamesa Energy Transmission (GET) and, since 2013, has been working as Director of Operations and GET for Europe & RoW region.
