Jera has established Jera Nex, a worldwide renewable energy company with its headquarters in London, UK. Jera Nex will develop, invest in, own, and manage renewable energy projects, including onshore and offshore wind, solar energy, and battery storage.
It plans to construct 20GW of renewables capacity by 2035, beginning with a 3 GW portfolio of assets. The corporation wants to invest both abroad and in its native market of Japan. The firm plans to increase capacity through strategic acquisitions and collaborations, as well as by creating initiatives on its own. Jera is a joint venture of Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings and Chubu Electric Power.
