LM Wind Power is laying off more than 300 workers at its factory in Grand Forks, N.D., due to slumping demand and uncertainty over the wind-energy Production Tax Credit.
The reductions include 200 full-time production workers, 15 administrative staff workers and approximately 130 temporary workers and contractors. LM’s remaining workforce is 270. The laid-off workers will stay on the job until November 30.
