LM Windpower inaugurates new wind turbine rotor test rig in the Netherlands

LM Windpower has inaugurated a large wind turbine rotor test rig at the WMC Technology Center, Netherlands.

 

The new rig, which is now fully operational, will help assess the rotors of wind turbines for strength and dynamic behavior, while they are subjected to heavy mechanical loads brought on by large wind turbine blades.
