EMD International has acquired a stake in Enfor (Copenhagen) as part of a strategic partnership between the two companies.
Enfor is a supplier of software and solutions for forecasting and optimisation within the energy sector. The company was established in 2006 as a result of research activities related to energy systems, artificial intelligence, statistics, modelling and forecasting techniques carried out at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Enfor offers the WPPT forecast software for predicting the energy production at both single wind farms as well as larger portfolios of wind farms for the coming days. The software is based on the use of non-linear statistical models and artificial intelligence. As part of the cooperation, it is the intention is to increase sale of Enfor´s products and services internationally through the EMD global sales network. The cooperation will also focus on knowledge exchange in connection with the continued development of both companies’ current product portfolios as well as development of new joint products.
