In the first six months of the current business year, the Nordex Group achieved a roughly 150 per cent year-on-year increase in new business.
As of June 30, 2006, order receipts were valued at roughly € 400 million (year-ago period: € 158 million). Accordingly, new business is continuing to exceed forecasts. Order receipts of around € 140 million in the second quarter (previous year: € 123 million) matched the Company’s expectations. For the year as a whole, Nordex currently expects to be able to report new business of around € 600 million (previous year: € 395 million). Roughly 80 per cent of new orders came from outside Germany (previous year: 43 per cent), including € 195 million alone from France. Nordex plans to widen its market share in the high-growth markets of Europe and Asia in particular. Some 77 per cent of order receipts relate to projects with the N80/N90 (2,300 - 2,500 kW), up from 47 per cent in the previous year.
