Pattern Energy Group LP (Pattern) has announced that it has established a new 24/7 Operations Control Center in Houston, Texas. The new facility was developed to actively monitor, coordinate and direct the operation of Pattern's growing portfolio of wind energy projects 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The new center employs a team of wind operators that constantly monitor and control all aspects of the wind turbines at Pattern's projects, from wind speed and energy output to oil levels. The operations team in Houston coordinates closely with the on-site operators and maintenance teams at each wind project. Currently monitoring more than 220 wind turbines across North America, the operations control center has enough expansion capacity for Pattern's pipeline of wind projects in development.
