Sauer Energy to commence production

Sauer Energy, Inc., a developer of home and enterprise scale vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) systems, announced that commercial production of the WindCharger will commence in November of 2011. This will transition Sauer Energy from a research and development only company to a sales and marketing company. As Sauer Energy enters into the sales phase, they will reinvest revenues to develop other applications for its technology. Sauer Energy is in the process of expanding its current facility now to combine all efforts to provide a platform for finish assembly and further research and development. The new facility will be compliant for procurement of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) projects. Future goals include subsequent plants in strategic locations to meet the expanding demand for increased production.

REpower to supply 25 turbines for Canadian wind farm Projects

REpower Systems SE has concluded a contract with WindWorks Power Corp. for the delivery of a total of 25 wind turbines for five projects in Ontario (Canada). Five MM92 CCV wind turbines (cold climate version) are destined for each of the wind farms Settlers Landing, Snowy Ridge, Grey Highlands, Cloudy Ridge and Clean Breeze, all located in the vicinity of Oshawa (Province of Ontario). The wind farms will generate a total output of more than 50MW. With a nominal output of 2.05MW each and a hub height of 100 meters, the turbines are scheduled to be delivered in the spring of 2013 and put into operation in the summer of the same year.
