SgurrEnergy is gearing up for an expansion drive in the Scottish Highlands after setting up a Caithness base in a move that will create several new skilled jobs in the area over the next 18 months.

The Glasgow-headquartered company, which currently has offices in the US (Boston), China (Beijing), Canada (Vancouver), India (Pune) France (Paris) and Ireland (Wexford), has now opened the doors on its new office in Scrabster Harbour. The office will be headed up by Caithness-based energy engineer Richard Hunt and will primarily focus on wind, biomass, wave and tidal energy systems where SgurrEnergy offer full project life cycle services from feasibility studies and site search right through project design, implementation and operations and maintenance advice.
