Siemens released its Q2 results and the Windpower and Renewables business unit generated a revenue of € 1,263 million, an increase of 7% compared to Q2 FY2014.
The growth was mainly driven by the offshore and service businesses and due to currency translation, mainly in the Americas. The company reported a loss of € 44 million for this period. The loss is the result from ongoing high production and installation costs as well as burdens related to inspecting and replacing main bearings.
