Tetsushi Mizuno was appointed Co-CEO of MHI Vestas Offshore Wind, replacing Jin Kato, who will stay on as a senior advisor to the company for the next six months before reassuming a senior role at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) in Japan.
Mr Mizuno comes from a position as General Manager in Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, which is part of MHI group and is located in Takasago, Japan. Mr Mizuno has been with MHI since 1986. In his role as Deputy General Manager for the Business Strategy Planning Department, he was deeply involved in the establishment of the joint venture between MHI and Vestas which led to the creation of MHI Vestas Offshore Wind.
