The South Korean state-owned enterprise Korea Offshore Wind Power (KOWP) and Wind Minds have signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding their cooperation in developing one of the first offshore wind projects in South Korea.
The collaboration involves project management, research, engineering and assistance with logistical matters. The project is located in the Yellow Sea to the south west of Seoul. First they will work on a 60MW test project after which will follow the 400MW project demonstration to be realised in 2022. Total planned final output is 2,500MW.
