Lars Weigel has been appointed at the new Managing Director of WindGuard Certification, The 54-year-old Diplom-Ingenieur was appointed successor of Frank Weise in April.In addition to his degree in mechanical engineering from RWTH Aachen University, Lars Weigel brings to his new position experience in the fields of certification, production and organisational development. Among other achievements, he built up SGL Rotec to a company with over 700 employees and helped shape the national offshore wind energy network wab e. V. as a member of the board for many years. Most recently, he was responsible for the operating business of OWS Off-Shore Wind Solutions in Emden as the Chief Operating Officer.
