Looking at the wider picture
Although Windtech International mainly focuses on the technology of the wind industry, we are aware that it is important sometimes to step back from the development of new equipment to look at the picture more generally. For example, where should we concentrate research and innovation efforts and how does this tie in with considerations about use of different types of energy and whether or not they are subsidised? HUSUM Daily/The PTC in the USA – Calls for Action
From 18 to 22 September the HUSUM WindEnergy event is once again happening in the German capital of wind energy. During the five days Windtech International will publish the HUSUM Daily. The HUSUM Daily will be prepared and edited by a team from Windtech International in cooperation with staff from HUSUM WindEnergy. Each day we will work on the issue to be published the following morning. Manufacturing the Future Today
This year’s WINDPOWER 2012 Conference & Exhibition was organised in Atlanta, GA, USA. Although there are not any wind farms in that part of the USA there are now over 90 manufacturing plants serving the industry in the Southeast, and so the location was well-suited to this year's theme: Manufacturing the Future Today.- Category: Publishers Note
New Design Concepts
Every year the EWEA Annual Event brings together companies and individuals to play an active role in shaping the future of our industry and enabling the innovation today that is crucial for building a better tomorrow for wind energy. This year EWEA 2012 was held in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 16 till 19 April. Around 450 exhibitors from Europe and beyond presented themselves and about 10,000 visitors attended the event.
