Quarterly wind performance maps for Q1 2016 show deviations in the wind resource from average Q1 conditions in every region of the world.  

In the first quarter of 2016, winds were above normal relative to the long-term (1988-2014), first-quarter average across much of the United States, eastern Canada, northern South America, southern Europe, the Mediterranean region, Central Africa, and much of eastern Asia. Winds were below normal across the southwestern and parts of midwestern United States, southern South America, northern Europe, western and eastern Africa, much of western Asia, and Oceania.
