The World Wind Energy Association (WWEA) will create a network to connect cities around the world that have set a goal to source 100% of their energy from renewables, according to Stefan Gsanger, the group's secretary general.
The association will collect data on various countries' transitions to renewables and share the data online. Wind energy will play an important role in a country's decision to switch 100% to renewables, added Gsanger.
