Dongfang Electric Corporation (DEC) has rolled out the 26 MW offshore wind turbine in Fuqing, East China's Fujian province.
The turbine is tailored for areas with wind speeds of 8 metres per second and above. With average winds of 10 metres per second, a single unit can generate 100 GWh of clean energy annually. The hub height of the wind turbine is 185 metres and it features a rotor diameter of more than 310 metres.
