i4See (Austria) has extended its range of applications for automated analysis of large wind turbine fleets, with the launch of the new product i4See Align.
Using available SCADA logs, the status of the yaw system is evaluated and issues such as yaw misalignment, yaw control errors, yaw system damage and northing errors are diagnosed, allowing corrective action to be planned. Alignment monitoring by i4See is done on a regular monthly basis to detect issues soon after they occur and performed on a whole fleet level rather than individual wind farms.
