To develop solutions for floating offshore wind in Japan, Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) has formed a consortium with Japan Marine United Corporation, Nihon Shipyard, and Toa Corporation.
 
K Line Wind Service will be in charge of developing a cost-effective floating foundation installation method. Japan Marine United Corporation will be in charge of floating foundation development and manufacturing, as well as engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of floating offshore wind projects. Nihon Shipyard will be in charge of designing floating foundations and offshore support vessels, while Toa Corporation will work on developing a cost-effective wind turbine assembly process.
