Liebherr has introduced its new main bearing. This component is a new development that complements the existing Liebherr portfolio of slewing bearings for electromechanical and hydraulic rotor blade and yaw adjustment of wind turbines.
The main bearings can be used in wind turbines with a capacity of 2MW and upwards. Liebherr offers bearings in two main designs: double-row tapered roller bearings and triple-row roller bearing slewing rings. The sealing concept for slewing bearings ensures that the inside of the bearings is protected against dirt and moisture and prevents the lubricant from escaping.
