LiftWerx introduces crane suitable for larger wind turbines

LiftWerx has introduced its LiftWerx BoxHook crane. This crane, which is designed for larger wind turbines in the 3MW to 8MW range, offers a lifting capacity of up to 100 tonnes, depending on the customer’s requirements.

 

Once mounted at tower heights up to 175 meters the BoxHook can perform corrective repairs for gearboxes, generators, transformers, and other major components without the need of a separate crane. The crane can be installed at both offshore and onshore wind turbines.
