Senvion has finished commissioning and initial test phase of the prototype of the Senvion 6.2M152.
The turbine has been operating in fully automatic mode and thus as an active power plant at Langen-Neuenwalde (Germany), about 20 kilometres north of Bremerhaven, since January. It generated the first kilowatt hour (kWh) on schedule on 18th December 2014 and received the Design Assessment. With a rated power of 6.15MW, the Senvion 6.2M152 can supply around 4,000 homes with electricity.
