Basin Electric has signed two power purchase agreements associated with the development of two new wind projects in North Dakota, USA.
The combined capacity is 300MW. The developers are a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC and Tradewind Energy. NextEra Energy Resources will be developing the Dickinson Wind Energy Center, a 150MW wind farm near Richardton, ND, and Tradewind will be developing the Lindahl Wind Project, a 150MW wind farm near Tioga, ND. The wind project being developed by NextEra Energy Resources is expected to be complete by the end of 2015 and the wind project being developed by Tradewind is expected to be complete by the end of 2016.
