Offshore Energy and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) have announce that they have entered into a partnership regarding the continued development of Australia’s first offshore wind farm, the Star of the South.
The project has so far been developed solely by Offshore Energy. The Star of the South is located off the south coast of Gippsland, Victoria. The site is located 10-25 km off the coast in the Bass Strait and has a total expected capacity of up to 2,000MW. Further development of the site will be undertaken jointly by the partnership.
