REpower Systems AG has been commissioned to supply 29 wind turbines by the Australian company Pacific Hydro Pty Ltd.
MM82 turbines have been chosen for the "Portland Stage II" project in the South-Eastern Australian state of Victoria and have a total rated power of 58MW. The Stage II project is part of a larger wind farm development in the Portland area, which has a planned total output of 195MW and covers four different locations. The 29 turbines each have an output of two MW and a hub height of 69 metres and are scheduled to be installed at the end of 2007. A decision is yet to be made on the allocation of the orders for the remaining stages of the Portland wind energy project.
