The Development Consent Order (DCO) application for RWE’s and Masdar’s Dogger Bank South (DBS) Offshore Wind Farms has been accepted into the UK Planning Inspectorate examination phase.

Situated in shallow waters on the Dogger Bank, over 100 km off the northeast coast of England, the DBS East and DBS West projects are now poised for public examination later in 2024. Combined, these projects will feature up to 200 turbines with an estimated total capacity of 3 GW. RWE, leading development, construction, and operation, represents a partnership between RWE (51% share) and Masdar (49% share). RWE secured Agreements for Lease for both DBS projects with The Crown Estate in January 2023, while Masdar acquired its 49% stake in December 2023, with the shareholding agreement finalised in February 2024.
