MainWind has announced that they completed the installation of 2 wind masts, type 50m NexGen in North Iraq, Kurdistan.
Near the city of Sulaimaniyah the company installed 2 wind measurement
masts to collect wind data for the local Government of Sulaimaniyah.
The Wind Resource Assessment Report will be made by Ecofys and the
measurement equipment comes from Ekopower.After 4 months a first
evaluation will be made by Ecofys and MainWind will start with ordering
the wind turbines for 2 pilot wind farms of 5MW each. In the meantime
MainWind will continue with taking measurements in order to collect as
much as possible wind data.
