Enefit Green's subsidiary Enercom SIA started a cooperation with Latvian private forest owner Södra group Latvia, to develop two possible wind farms in the east of the country.
Under the agreements, Enefit Green will have the right to use the land owned by Södra for the development of wind energy. The long-term right to use the land is the first preparatory step in the construction of the wind farms. Next, the compamy will start communicating with the relevant authorities and local governments, followed by the environmental impact assessment. Enefit Green anticipates that the coordination and research stage for the developments may take a minimum of three years.
