Gamesa has received a new order for the supply of 65 of its G114-2.1MW turbines at the Babilonia wind complex being developed in the town of Morro do Chapéu, in Bahia state.
Under the terms of the agreement, Gamesa will transport, install and commission the 65 turbines (136.5MW). Delivery of the wind turbines is scheduled to begin at the end of 2017, while the facility is slated for commissioning during the second half of 2018. In addition, Gamesa will maintain these turbines for the first five years. The G114-2.1 MW turbine is designed to yield more power at low and medium wind speed sites.
