GE Renewable Energy has been selected by Sanko Enerji to supply GE’s 4.8MW Cypress Units for the 51MW Gazi 9 Wind Farm in Turkey and will be providing a 10-years Full-Service Agreement.
Located in Çanakkale, Turkey, the construction of the wind farm is expected to begin during the fourth quarter of 2019, to reach commercial operation by the end of October 2020. As a part of the agreement, GE Renewable Energy will locally produce the wind turbine blades in LM Wind Power’s Bergama site, Izmir, Turkey. Towers will also be produced in the country.
