GE Renewable Energy has announces that it has been selected by Türkeler and RT Enerji to supply equipment for the five Kirazli, Meryem, Sile, Pamukova and Mahmut Sevket onshore wind farms.
Forty-nine of GE’s 3 MW onshore wind turbines will be installed in Izmir, Bilecik, Sakarya and Istanbul Turkey. With a total capacity of 158 MW, the project will provide renewable energy to the region, powering the equivalent of 183,000 homes. The scope also includes a 10-year servicing agreement. As a part of the agreement, LM Wind Power will produce the 147 blades for the wind turbines at the Bergama site, Izmir, Turkey.
