The Gode Wind 2 offshore wind farm started producing power and feeding into the German grid. With 42 wind turbines and a capacity of 252MW, Gode Wind 2 will produce enough power to supply approximately 260,000 German households yearly.
The construction of the Gode Wind 2 project started with the first installation works at sea in April 2015. DONG Energy has constructed Gode Wind 2 together with the Gode Wind 1 offshore wind farm. Gode Wind 1 and Gode Wind 2 have a total capacity of 582 MW. DONG Energy holds a 50% share in Gode Wind 2, while the remaining 50% are owned by a consortium of four Danish pension funds.
