IMPSA signed an agreement for the purchase and sale of shares with Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais (CEMIG). It was agreed to sell 49% of the interest in three wind farms in the northeastern state of Ceará.
The Brazilian company will pay R$ 213 million to acquire interest in
the Praia do Morgado, Praias de Parajurú and Volta do Rio wind farms
with a combined installed capacity of 100MW. Praias de Parajurú wind
power plant will be equipped with nineteen 1.5MW wind generators. The
Praia do Morgado wind power plant will be equipped with nineteen 1.5MW
wind generators, while Volta do Rio will be the largest wind farm with
28 units. The equipment will be provided by IMPSA itself through its
recently opened wind generator plant.
