K2 Management has been awarded with an assignment from DBD Systems to assist on the design, engineering and project development on its floating foundation technology.
K2 Management will provide specific offshore project development advice and create a product and demonstrator development strategy for the intended demonstration project at Dounreay Floating Offshore Wind Deployment Centre (DFOWDC). It is a 30MW test and demonstration facility located off the North coast of Scotland approximately 6 nautical miles Northwest of the Dounreay nuclear installation. The site will have the facility to deploy up to 5 floating turbines in water depths of between 77 and 110 metres, with an average of 85 metres across the site.
