Lekela Power, a 60/40 joint venture between Actis and Mainstream Renewable Power has announced the signing of two Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with the New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA)
They signed one for a 50MW solar power plant in Aswan and one for a 50MW wind power plant in the West Gulf of Suez under the feed in tariff scheme. Lekela has already taken possession of the project land in Aswan and is preparing for site works and studies and will shortly be taking possession of the wind site in the West Gulf of Suez.
