Zinc Air, Inc. (ZAI) and Flathead Electric Co-op (FEC) have announced an agreement to install a battery on FEC's campus in Kalispell, Montana, USA.
This customer field trial will allow ZAI and FEC to run a number of applications for both utility and end user benefits, such as peak demand reduction and load shifting. Zinc Air is delivering its first field installations this year with its first commercial deployments in 2014. The energy storage systems will be used primarily for smart grid applications and renewable integration of wind and solar.
