TÜV SÜD had already completed the review of the design documentation of the Gemini 600MW offshore wind farm, which covered the support structures of the wind turbines – a total of 150 monopiles including the connection structures and steel towers.
On behalf of Gemini, the company has now also completed the certification of the two offshore sub-stations. This certification comprised review of the design documentation and the geotechnical report as well as the review of the sub-stations' support structures and topside platforms. Gemini is located in the Dutch exclusive economic zone (EEZ) in the North Sea, around 85 kilometres off the coast north of the province of Groningen.
