wpd has placed orders with Nordex to supply a total of 14 wind turbine generators with a nominal output of altogether 33.6MW.
The turbines concerned are N117/2400s which are due to be connected to the grid in the third quarter of 2016. The projects are located at sites in Hesse, Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt. Nordex will be installing ten of the turbines ordered at a tower height of 141 metres, with 120-metre towers being used for the others. In addition to this, wpd has signed premium service agreements for the turbines covering a period of 15 years.
