Korean engineering company Saman Corp has hired OWC to take on the owners’ engineering role at the 400MW SouthWest Phase II wind farm project offshore South Korea for KOWP (Korea Offshore Wind Power).
The KOWP SouthWest Phase II offshore wind farm project is a 400MW project at Buan-gun, South Korea and it will be completed in 2026. The construction cost is about 2.4 trillion won (KRW) (approximately € 1.8 million). Under the contract, Saman and OWC will deliver owners’ engineering services including review of site conditions; contract support for detail engineering, EPC contract, O&M, supervision, marine warranty services and other contracts; review and approval of engineering reports; support the license approval process; and provide broad technical advisory services. OWC has not disclosed the value of the contract.
