SeaRoc Group has reached a new milestone in its contract with Dong Energy with the deployment of three communication containers on Walney Extension site.
Three SeaHub containers have been deployed to the Walney Extension site at the following locations:
- On board guard vessel which is patrolling the offshore construction site
- Walney Extension construction base in Barrow-in-Furness
- Walney Extension substation in Heysham
In addition, the communications system deployed onshore to support the Burbo Extension construction project remains operational and will be combined with DONG Energy’s operational communication system later in 2017. SeaHub is a solution that delivers round-the-clock monitoring and communications. The container houses all required equipment for communications and logistical data sharing that is then integrated into SeaRoc Group’s management system, SeaPlanner. The container also contains several autonomous safety systems including fire suppression, gas detection and temperature control.
