Peterson has secured a logistics contract with Siemens. The scope of works includes the supply of Jet A1 aviation fuel in offshore transport fuel tanks. Peterson’s supply base in Den Helder, the Netherlands will transport the tanks to the Siemens service base facility in Eemshaven where the tanks will then be shipped to the Gemini wind farm.
The contract commenced August 1st 2016 and will continue for one year with a possibility to extend for three more years. Additional to the supply of aviation fuel, Peterson will provide and maintain a sufficient number of aviation fuel tanks ready for transit with a capacity of 2,900 litres. The Gemini wind farm is facilitated with a refuelling system for helicopters. This enables Siemens to plan their helicopters in a safe and efficient manner.
