Siemens has concluded a framework agreement with Enel Green Power for the supply of up to 260 wind turbines for various wind farms in Europe. The total capacity of the onshore turbines is 600MW.
The agreement with the subsidiary of the Italian utility Enel S.p.A. provides for delivery of the turbines between 2011 and 2014 and includes an option for delivery of a further 600MW of wind turbines. Under the supply agreement, Siemens will deliver different types of wind turbines, rated at either 2.3 or 3.6MW, featuring rotor diameters between 82 and 107 meters. The turbines will be deployed at onshore wind power plants in Italy, France, the Iberian Peninsula, Greece Romania and Bulgaria. The scope of supply also includes the delivery, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines as well as a service agreement.
