Siemens has received an order to continue providing service and maintenance at the Korat 1 and Korat 2 wind projects in Nakorn Rachasrima Province in Northeastern Thailand for the next 13 years and to provide performance-enhancing upgrades to the projects’ wind turbines.
The Korat 1 and Korat 2 wind farms are the largest in Thailand and contain 90 SWT-2.3-101 wind turbines that can produce approximately 207 MW of renewable energy. The turbines have been serviced and maintained by Siemens since beginning commercial operations. Under terms of the agreement, Siemens will provide expert long-term service and maintenance at the Korat 1 and Korat 2 wind projects for an additional 13 years and install the company’s Power Curve Upgrade (PCU) turbine blade modernisation product to all 90 units.
