With the conditional order of 103 Siemens Gamesa offshore wind turbines with up to 9 MW capacity each and the start of the main soil investigation at each individual turbine location, wpd has started the realisation of the Gennaker offshore wind farm.
The offshore wind farm is located 15 kilometers off the Baltic Sea coast near the Darß peninsula. At the same time, the tendering process for the other main components and installation vessels is ongoing. According to the schedule, the full project capacity will be installed by the end of 2026.
