Dr Thomas Treiling has been appointed by the ABO Wind Supervisory Board as the new Managing Director, effective from 1st April 2024. With a background in geography, the 44-year-old has been with ABO Wind since 2009, initially serving as a Project Manager before progressing to roles as Team Leader and Head of Department.
He assumed the position of General Manager in 2018, overseeing the development of wind energy and photovoltaic projects in Germany. This appointment expands the Managing Board to six members, pending the conclusion of Dr Jochen Ahn's term at the end of the year. Following his departure, Treiling will assume responsibility for Business and Project Development in Germany and France (wind & photovoltaics), IT, and Energy Sales and Markets. Additionally, Amaya Hilpert (50) and Kristof Frank (46), both former Heads of Department, will be promoted to General Manager positions within the company, overseeing solar and wind project development in Germany, respectively.
