Ammonit Wind Tunnel has been accredited by the German accreditation body (DAkkS) as independent calibration laboratory according to DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025. Additionally, Ammonit Wind Tunnel meets the quality standards of MEASNET for anemometer calibration.
Based on its DAkkS accreditation and the MEASNET membership the company is able to calibrate anemometers in its own wind tunnel according to IEC 61400-12-1. Ammonit Wind Tunnel is a subsidiary of WIND-consult and Ammonit Measurement. At its headquarter in Bargeshagen, Ammonit Wind Tunnel operates a wind tunnel of Goettinger type with half-open working section and a nozzle cross section of 1.20 x 1.20 meters. The wind tunnel design allows also the calibration of large sensors, such as ultrasonic anemometers. Additionally, the wind tunnel can be used for wind sensor classification as well as for flow measurement projects.
