Avanti Wind System establishes new factories in USA and China in order to produce Internals for wind turbines. Internals are all internal mechanical and electrical parts in the wind turbine tower – from the big platforms to brackets and other smaller parts in aluminum or galvanized steel as well as electric cables, lighting and other electrics.
The new factory in China is an 8000 m2 building in the port city Tianjin south of Beijing. Right now machines, welding equipment and so on are being installed. The first set of Internals from the new factory is planned to be delivered already in December 2011. The factory will have between 20 and 25 employees and is expected to be at full production rate by February 2012. They will open the new factory in USA in April 2012 in a 4000 m2 industrial building located at Avanti’s current American headquarters in New Berlin, Wisconsin. The factory will have between 20 and 25 employees and is expected to be at full production rate by June 2012.
