In October 2012 Bosch Rexroth AG signed a co-operation agreement with DMT GmbH & Co. KG, which is part of the TÜV Nord Group. Both companies have agreed to combine their know-how in the monitoring of rotor blades and drive trains of wind turbines.
The objective of this co-operation is the introduction of a holistic condition monitoring system for wind turbines. The new system will be sold under the Rexroth brand. The holistic monitoring system will integrate the monitoring of all relevant function groups as well as providing a coherent monitoring centre solution. The system platform is made up of discrete functional modules. Data acquisition and communication are combined and organised synchronously. The first step involves combining the monitoring of rotor blades, drive train and tower. From there on the platform can be extended as required.
