Swedish-based marine and industrial brake supplier Dellner Brakes has acquired German brake company JHS Jungblut in a move that will strengthen the company’s offering in the wind energy market, and also enable further global expansion, particularly in the Far East.
In January Dellner already acquired the German brake manufacturer Pintsch Bubenzer. Formed in 2008, JHS manufactures noise-free, lightweight brakes and yaw sliding bearings for wind turbines. This 43 employee business has its HQ in Germany with operations in China and India. The enlarged company will operate under the Dellner Brakes JHS GmbH brand. Kai Kölker has been appointed Vice President for Dellner Brakes JHS GmbH and will be running the company’s wind business division in Dorsten (Germany), Beijing and New Delhi.
